Food For the Multitude

The Food for the Multitude program has been a vital ministry in Elizabethton and Carter County since October of 1985, when the congregation of St. Thomas Episcopal Church opened its doors for a soup kitchen. The program has grown and has recently moved to the TLC Community Center (145 Judge Don Lewis Blvd. Elizabethton) and now consists of five local churches: St. Thomas Episcopal, Memorial Presbyterian, 1st Presbyterian, First United Methodist, and Southside Christian.  On a rotating basis, Memorial and the other congregations provide 225-300 warm meals every Saturday morning. Volunteers to help prepare and serve are needed. Please contact Joe Muncey to get involved.

Join us as we lead the congregation in worship through hymns and special music! Choir practice takes place at 9:30am Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour. This is a great opportunity to serve God and his people with a joyful noise! Contact Terri Money (pianist) to get involved!

Behind the Scenes

There are always lots of people behind the scenes making sure that things run smoothly, events happen, kids get cared for, food gets served etc. Are you one of these people? Whether it's setting up for our bi-monthly fellowship lunch, volunteering to prepare a Wednesday Dinner or helping out at the church work day, many hands make light work! If you're interested in helping out, contact Joe Muncey!
